German vehicles
German vehicle expertise
A lot of what comes through the door is German — often after a dealer quote, or after somewhere else could not find the fault. All makes and models are welcome here.
Why these cars
More systems, more talking to each other
German vehicles generally carry more control modules, more networked systems and more interdependence than the average car. One failing connector can produce warnings in three unrelated places.
That is exactly the kind of fault that gets expensive when it is guessed at, and exactly the kind that rewards testing the circuit properly. It is also why these cars tend to find their way here.
We are an independent repair facility. We are not a dealership and we are not affiliated with any manufacturer — we just have a lot of experience with these vehicles.
Marques
What we see most
BMW
Electrical and drivability faults, cooling-system and gasket work, and the wear items these cars are known for as they age.
Mercedes-Benz
Networked module faults, electrical diagnosis, suspension and air-suspension symptoms, and general mechanical repair.
Audi
Drivability and misfire diagnosis, carbon build-up on direct-injection engines, cooling and oil-leak investigation.
Volkswagen
The shared platform mechanics of the group, plus the electrical and sensor faults that produce most warning lights.
Porsche
Diagnostic and mechanical service, with the care these vehicles reasonably expect.
MINI
Cooling, timing-related noise, electrical faults and the small-engine wear patterns these cars develop.
Manufacturer names appear here only to describe the vehicles we service. Kay’s Auto Smart is an independent repair facility and is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer.
Everyone else
Domestic, Asian and other European vehicles are just as welcome.
The diagnostic method does not change with the badge on the bonnet. If your car has a fault that needs finding, bring it in.
